Purchase decision
The boss needs you to work on a different project soon, and plans to hire someone without any Redocly experience to take over the project. The boss has a concern if a new hire can actually learn Redocly and get productive without your help. Sometimes the boss acts on little information, but this time the boss hired a user research firm to find out if new users can learn and understand Redocly.
The boss has already told the Redocly sales rep that unfortunately you have to move to a different project soon, and they are hiring someone new to take the developers API project to completion. The boss was looking to negotiate a discount, but instead Redocly offered to fix a dozen of the new user usability issues identified by the researchers.
The researchers interviewed over a dozen target users. They recorded each interview. They also created a summary document for each interview. They didn't synthesize the summary or create a list of common issues.
The boss asked you to verify if it makes sense to purchase the Realm subscription for 3 users.
Your task
Review research interviews:
- Choose at least two research interviews (at random because the boss has other people viewing at random too) and watch the videos in their entirety.
- Discuss with your teammate.
- (The boss left a link in the #phronesis slack channel)
Review researcher summaries:
- Review the researcher summaries for the two videos you watched. Did you learn something interesting from the video not mentioned in the summary? If so, what was it?
- Review the other researcher summaries. Select one more that you want to watch the video for based on the summary.
- (The boss left a link in the #phronesis slack channel)
Review pricing page:
- Calculate the price for 3 users. (Someone mentioned to me Redocly has multiple products and plans -- you'll need to figure out which ones to buy.)

Summarize the summaries:
- This task is so boss!
Dozen issues:
- Create a list of the top 12 issues for Redocly to address.
- Add this list to your website as a stand-alone page.
Buy or not:
- Add a section to that webpage with the price for 3 users.
- Add a section with heading "Purchase recommendation" and fill out your recommendation to buy or not to buy.
- Also, include your analysis if you think the new user would be successful even if Redocly didn't address the dozen issues.
